Offerings re-imagines a relationship between species, a kinship between a cat and myself as a child.  The cat would bring offerings of pinky mice to be let into the window of my bedroom.  A dark kind of offering but also a kind of love, a gift. 

The two taxidermy mounts are placed around a pillow of the offerings, themselves a kind of undead, waiting for their taxidermy skins, a kind of dark creature in and of themselves.  Our relationships with other species are often affectionate, loving, dangerous, fraught, destructive, and at times fatal, as complex as those we have with other humans.
